ACPL informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that its 20MW solar power plant project has been completed at Hub Chowki, Lasbella in Baluchistan. India: Shree Cement granted ToR for Karnataka plant expansion18 April 2017, Published under Cement NewsShree Cement has been granted terms of reference (ToR) by the Environment Ministry to expand its plant in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. The project involves increasing clinker capacity from 2.4Mta to 4.5Mta, and cement capacity from 4Mta to 6Mta. The company’s shares rose by 0.7 per cent after it announced that it had been allowed to proceed with its plans to expand the captive power plant at Alathiyur in Tamil Nadu . Nigeria: Ashaka trebles profit in 1H1411 August 2014, Published under Cement NewsNigerian Lafarge subsidiary Ashaka Cement has reported a 1H14 profit after tax of NGN3.51bn (US$21.5m), a 201 per cent increase than its 1H13 figure of NGN1.15bn. Pretax profits at the company surged 166 per cent YoY from NGN1.65bn to NGN4.39bn in 1H14.
